In commemoration of the Year of Celebrating SG Families, the video, My SG Village, showcases how the diverse roles of parents, grandparents, friends, colleagues, and employers come together to contribute to the health and well-being of children and mothers in Singapore.
The video, which emphasises the ‘kampung’ spirit, depicts how Singaporeans banded together in the 1980s to support a family who had just welcomed a newborn child. Moving on to Singapore today, while it is not easy to raise a child, we can look forward to family, friends, relatives, employers, businesses, community partners and the government coming together to provide a supportive ecosystem.
A kind word, a good deed, and small little gestures can go a long way. Let’s work together to build a Singapore Made For Families.
